Class of 2009

This is a senior session that I did last spring.
I have gotten to know her family over
the past few years. They are one of my
original families... so was very excited to
do her senior pics! Besides the fact that
she is beautiful... I also wanted to get
some fun, unique photos for her.
These were taken in downtown
Gilbert. I put this collage together
for her Mom to send out as announcements!

Summer Time Fun..

This was one of the other families
that traveled with us last weekend.
Again... another great session!
I think one of the other reason's
why I love these beach photos is
that the kids are having so much
fun. It isn't hard to get kids to
smile when they are already
having fun in the environment
that they are in. (I also brought
lolly pops for their kids too!!)

Fun at the Beach

This is one of the families that
we went with. Her son
recently turned one, so
we spent some time
doing his One Year Photos
and their family photos.
She had the idea of this
beach photo... we were
able to find a place that
wasn't crowded, so it all
worked out! I really
am looking forward
to going back with more
families next year...
I would like to be able
to do one travel
weekend next year
for whoever would
want to travel to
San Diego next year
for Photos!

The Boddy Family

This is my family!
I was really
excited to go
to San Diego
this year. As
a mom I was
excited for my
two year old to
finally see the
beach.... and for
my four year old
to go to Sea World
(she loves it there!)
I love the downtown...
we always seem
to have the best
food there... plus
I love to shop there.
Also as a photographer
I have never been to
San Diego to do photos.
So I was really excited
to use some equipment
that I have been saving
for this trip. It was also
a lot of fun for me to get
to see water in the
background instead
of desert (of which I also love!).
I saw these lolly pops
awhile ago and had been
saving them to do photos
at the beach with them.
Although my husband
didn't think this was the
best idea... the kids had
a lot of fun trying to eat
them... while I was able
to shoot away. The end
result was the kids had
a lot of fun, I got great
photos, and both my
husband and I had
two sticky kids to
clean up afterwards!

Beach Babies!!

This past weekend
we went to the
beach with two
other families!
With 6 adults
and 6 children...
there was never
down time... But
every minute
was a ton of fun.
The kids did
really well,
with the exception
of a few early mornings
(5:30 am!!). I
guess you cannot
expect all 6 kids
to sleep till 9am!
All of the mom's
took the 4 year old's
to Sea World on day...
and we almost made it
to see the fireworks:-(
But the kids didn't make
it that long. This was
the first time to the
beach for a lot of the
kids... so of course
our camera's were there!

San Diego 2008

These are some fun photos that
I took in San Diego. I told my
husband that I want to put a
book together of photos from
all over the world. I thought
I would start here. I also was
looking to do some "art" pieces
for our game room... I thought
these would look good if I put
them on a canvas. It was a
great trip and I look forward
to going back next year!

Casual Wedding

This couple got married in Florida.
They then contacted me to do their
reception. Since they did not have a
lot of photos from their wedding, we
did some more fun couple shots,
and family shots. Not all of their
family was able to be at the
wedding, so it was nice time to
do all those photos, you cannot
do every year. They were a
really sweet couple and I look
forward to working with them
in the future!

Black Studio

This is Hannah! So cute!
With her strawberry blond hair she is as cute as can be!
Her mom really liked the black studio look... so that is what we did.
Her mom gets the coffee table books for her parents every Mother's Day and for Christmas. This time we did "The story of a three year old".
I hope to post this book in a slide show soon!

Movement

This is a pregnancy
session I did last week.
I really enjoyed this session.
It was the first time
that I was able to really get creative.
I spend awhile planning
for this session and really
getting to know this
mom-to-be before her appointment.
She had some idea's
that she came to me with
and I took it from there.
I do a lot of pregnancy
photos, so I was really
excited to have some
fresh ideas to share with
the next client. One
of my goals for the
summer was to build on
my studio collection...
and I feel like I am
doing that! It is always
nice to reach goals...
big or small!

Step back in Time..

I just love this family.
They are so nice,
and this little girl is so cute.
One of my passions for
photography are the photos
that were taken back in
the 40's, 50's and 60's.
Some of these photos
remind me of those times.
I love the yellows, and
blues that they were all
wearing. I love the
parents art of tattooing
that they have. It brings
some art
into the photo...
You know, no matter
if there faces
are in the photo or not
that it is her
parents just by the tattoos.
Anyways... I just love
this family and
they way their photos
turn out. They
are so into this little
one of theirs that
you can see the love
they have for her
in each photo
taken of them!

Couple

This is a couple that is getting married in September.
We had a lot of fun mixing up some traditional, modern and
fun photos for their album that will be displayed at her reception.
During this session we spent time doing family shots, and individual
photos of there children. I am really excited about this coming wedding....
Some of there best moments are between the two of them when they don't
even know the camera is going off. They are going to have some great "in the moment"
photos to look forward too.
